Qld:Fate of schoolies policeman known today
Queensland Police Commissioner BOB ATKINSON will today announce the result of an investigation
into the conduct of a police officer accused of taking four girls back to his unit during
the annual schoolies celebration.
The 38-year-old officer, who was a sergeant in the elite Public Safety Response Team,
allegedly gave the girls alcohol and sexually propositioned one of them while rubbing
his gun against her leg.
The four schoolgirls told another friend who reported the incident to police in Surfers
Paradise on November the 27th last year.
The Queensland Police Ethical Standards Unit interviewed more than 50 people in their
investigations into the matter.
