It was all laid on for the elderly of Sidley who were invited to a lunch and party organised by Sidley Community Association.
It was a more modest event than in previous years but nevertheless the party went with a swing and included entertainment by the Land Army Girls who brought with them memorabilia and fun as well as favourite old songs from wartime years.
A team of volunteers helped take orders, bring food and pour out drinks for the 40 or more pensioners who came to the annual traditional lunch - including three community police officers, and members of Senlac Rotary club …
