NSW:9 arrested over drug ring
Nine people have been arrested following a 13-month covert police operation into a
sophisticated drug ring targeting ski resorts in the NSW Snowy Mountains.
Six men and three women were arrested during seven separate raids carried out by 80
police officers at Jindabyne about 9.30 this morning.
Police say six of them are itinerant ski season workers while the other three are local
residents.
Police will allege they're all involved in supplying large quantities of illegal drugs
in the alpine region.
During the raids .. police allegedly seized drugs with a street value of 40 thousand
dollars .. including ecstasy .. LSD and cocaine.
Police are expecting to make more arrests.
